Can colleagues in our organizations who are not members of the Social Media Health Network also sign up for the class?

Thank you for sharing your presentation; it will be an excellent tool to share with my physicians.

Aug 19, 2014 · Examples of healthcare providers effectively using social media to connect with seniors? in Give & Get Advice

Our practice has a large population of seniors and I look forward to hearing the responses! We have just adding “View Medica” to our website which has short synopsis videos of conditions we treat/procedures we do—a helpful feature of the plan is that it is easily sharable on social media. It’s great for those caregivers who need to communicate with family about what’s going on with their loved ones.

Unfortunately, there is no way to load it to You Tube. There are lots of requests for it on the Adobe Voice site so hopefully that will be added soon.

Jul 18, 2014 · Trying to encourage more patients to review our doctors online. in Strategy, Policy & Best Practices

Susan-
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and thorough response. My hope in showing my providers their online reviews was to get them on board with blogging and patient education as a way to take control of their digital profile. I plan on reviewing your recommendations. I may pose more questions to you! I’m so thankful for this forum where we can learn from eachother. Thanks again!

We are trying to encourage more patients to review our doctors online at the various physician rating sites. Has anyone implemented this as part of their process or have a tip to make it easier?

Jul 11, 2014 · Adobe Voice for iPad is great app! in Platforms, Software, and Tools

I discovered a new app for the Ipad which I have found helpful in creating patient education videos. It’s called Adobe Voice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oz8ag5i9h0E). It’s free and super easy to use. We created our first video this week with our billing department; in it we explained the steps involved in paying your bill online since they get a lot of questions on that.

I’m hoping it might make the blogging process easier for my providers. It’s especially great for people who don’t like to be on video. It has royalty free pictures to use as well as a large selections of icons. The only drawback I’ve found is that the videos aren’t downloadable to You Tube…YET. Maybe you’ll find it helpful, too!
