It seems like the request to create animated videos to present to both internal and external audiences are coming at us thick and fast right now. Given our size, budget and skill level, the use of some animation presentation app seems the best option. Initial reviews seem like Biteable, Animato, Powtoon and Vyond may all serve this purpose, but I'd love to get insight from my fellow health care social media folks.

We've not had external feedback, but rather our very small web team feel strongly about this, as does our C suite. We do struggle with one of the ad agencies we use consistently creating items that are visually difficult for anyone over 45, think low contrast lettering and have had feedback on that in the past. Our solution has been to bring it in house when it comes to the web. We think we have most people on board now.
I handle all social media bar a couple smaller FB pages of remote sites. I say manage, but right now I'm more like a duck on a pond going into the strong undercurrent. Several folks provide blog content in addition to me. And I'm also part of the CRM/web team of 3 as well as the occasional internal ed video.
We have a couple of folks including the Director of Communications who provide blog content, but for the main social media platforms it's all me (three associated pages have clinical or manager staff who are the major contributors). Our ad agency handles most of our ads on social though which is an interesting division, as I reside primarily in communications and less so on marketing and wish I knew more of what they were up to…but then I'd be responsible for more of it so maybe not. I have other digital responsibilities including website/CRM and some internal comm stuff.
