I love the idea of using opt-out over opt-in for such things. Come on down to the conference and we can chat about where politics, corporate social responsibility, and action-based brand culture mix after we get through the data and learnings from the Donate Life campaign. Should be a great discussion. Like many things there may not be a right answer but there are some great examples of companies doing it on different scales.

you’d like. It’s an easy to fill out the form that took me 50 seconds to do. Every
sign up helps reduce the future organ donor waiting list, which currently
stands at more than 110,000 Americans. So why with 95% of people being in favor
of being an organ donor, are only 58% registered as deceased organ donors?

As health care marketers, it’s important to understand the obstacles to
deceased organ donation registration. Is it a lack of awareness? Is it a lack
of information or misinformation about the process? What can we as health care
marketers do about it? How can we reach people who have not registered? How can
we get them to take action?

Agreed! It's nice when used correctly but it's horribly overused. They should force the Retweet to be a "Retweet with Comment" at least.

Have you thought about breaking it down into costs? Managers are used to making decisions that way.

Such as your time to run the Instagram account properly (hours by your hourly rate) vs. your time to setup paid ads (FB or Google) and spending the money of them when the events roll around. They might be surprised to see the cost of running an Instagram account and decide to spend that money on FB/Google ads instead.
