Zuckerberg on #deletefacebook: 'You know, it's not good'

The Zuck has remained silent on many issues in previous years, but now it seems he’s on an interview tour.

ICYMI, in a nutshell, Cambridge Analytica was hired by the Trump campaign a few years ago. The data mining company got their hands on Facebook user data (estimated 50 million). Users didn’t give CA permission to use their data and Facebook said “delete it.” CA said “done” but had their fingers crossed behind their backs. The data was allegedly used to manipulate the system during the 2016 presidential campaign.

If you have political opinions, don’t share them here. If you have opinions and observations to share about the #deletefacebook movement and how we, as businesses on Facebook, will be affected, let’s discuss.

Personally, I think it’s too early to tell if we’ll see a drop in our metrics.

COMMENT

I hope that three things will happen:
1. That Facebook users will be more aware of their privacy settings.
2. That Facebook makes sure that organizations don't get hold of users' data.when users don’t give organizations permission to use it.
3. That, because of #1 and #2, there won't be a drop in metrics.
