Studies reveal increasing participation of health care professionals (HCPs), especially among millennials, in professional use of social media such as Twitter, Medium, and especially Quora. Doctors using FB Live and Snapchat can post things that in the past might be considered taboo, given that videos are temporary (albeit a still controversial topic).
The article at the end notes that evolving social and technological changes drive continuing social media innovation, leading not only to a persistent learning curve for all, but necessitating evolving sets of guidelines for social media conduct.
We need increased participation in MCSMN of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals. How do we best attract them? It would be win-win in the end, particularly for patients.
