Study Shows Consumers Trust Websites More Than Google My Business

New research reveals local business websites hold more weight than Google My Business listings when it comes to consumer trust.

A comparison report put together by BrightLocal examines how consumers use GMB listings, local business websites, and business directories to find information.

COMMENT

The 28% for healthcare/medical practices really stand out. Generally, I don’t think most healthcare organizations really think of their homepage as dynamic – something which should be under constant scrutiny. Most design it one and leave it alone for 5 years, till the next design cycle.

Could you imagine a Netflix or Amazon being so laissez-faire about their homepage? They wouldn’t exist.
