Curating news is a good idea, but what are the guidelines for proper attribution? And what about photo attribution?

Using other people’s content can get hazy when it comes to the internet – which is why there are some basic rules you can follow.

If someone is going to share a link from our website, I figure that’s always a positive – no credit needed. But I do get a little irked when I share an external link, and then others immediately share it on their own sites without mentioning the GDATF. I try to always share others’ content via Twitter RTs or FB shares – and if it’s across platforms, I’ll add at the end “via @xyz on Twitter”.
