Live streaming videos automatically play in newsfeeds in Twitter’s iPhone app, similar to how the microblogging site’s native videos and GIFs play.
If mobile users want to watch the videos in full-screen mode, they can click on a tweet embedded with a Periscope link and watch it right from Twitter. Unlike other Twitter content, though, Periscope videos still have a short shelf-life and automatically disappear after 24 hours.
The Twitter-Periscope integration only works for viewing videos. To broadcast a video, people need to use the stand-alone Periscope app.
