Marketo has surveyed more than 2,000 global consumers and marketers in what they claim is the first ever engagement-focused study.
Why is that so important? “We have entered the Engagement Economy, and to survive and thrive, organizations must evolve their marketing strategies and tactics accordingly. Simply put, we must stop saying that what we have been doing is “engaging” buyers. And instead, we must take steps to truly engage.”
One interesting result of the survey: Although 82% of marketers believe they deeply understand how their customers want to be engaged, only 50% of customers agree.
