One of the points of this article is that social media can cause emotional strain. “Streams of fake news, argumentative posters, and photos of OPM (other people’s meals)… can range from being a huge time-suck to having ill effects on your mental health.”
How are you handling the dramatic increase in bitter, sometimes hateful posts on Facebook, Twitter and other platforms? Are you seeing it more on your hospital’s social media? Are you limiting your time on social media? Do you turn it off away from work? If troubling, what are you doing to take care of yourself?
