Back in 2011, we created the Mayo Clinic Social Media Residency to help Mayo employees and peers from other health care organizations become conversant and comfortable with social media. And we're proud to say the Residency has been a work-in-progress ever since. It's had to be -- everything changes constantly and swiftly in the world of social networking. Digital technology has also changed how people learn which, in turn, has changed where and how to teach.
All this is prologue to say that the feedback we've sought and received has inspired us to seek a curriculum developer to take the Residency to the next level. Our vision for the next level that includes: flipped classroom/blended learning, case-based learning, and other ways to address the needs of very busy health care professionals.
