Network Member Meeting Caps Social Media Week

By Lee Aase, Director, Mayo Clinic Social Media Network @LeeAase

Table-photo.EDITEDSocial Media Week at Mayo Clinic culminates on Thursday, Oct. 23 with the Annual Member Meeting of the Social Media Health Network, and that evening's Member Dinner.

The 6th Annual #MayoRagan Social Media Summit concludes at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, and the SMHN Member Meeting will begin at 2, giving you plenty of time for a power nap!

Among the highlights:

  • Member presentations.  You'll hear from SMHN Silver Fellow Lisa Ramshaw of the Australian Private Hospitals Association, Dan Hinmon of Hive Strategies and Allen Brown, M.D., a Mayo Clinic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist who is applying a social networking community to serve patients with traumatic brain injury.
  • Unconference-style discussions. We've set aside time for member-led and member-directed discussions of issues most important to you, whether related to SMHN programs and services or common issues you face while implementing social media programs.
  • The SMHN Member Dinner. We're always happy to provide food for body and mind, plus an opportunity to connect with fellow members over a meal. We also announce and honor new SMHN Platinum Fellows.

This meeting is open to all SMHN members at every level of membership. If you haven't registered for the Member Meeting, or any of the other events during Social Media Week, there's still time.

Make sure you're logged in, and then go here to sign up. Note that if you're not yet a member, we have registration bundles that include membership and member meeting registration.

Will you gather and publish a list of the conference attendees? I would like to make the most of my first SMW at Mayo and connect with attendees prior to the meeting.
