Searching for others who run non profits

Posted by Linda Hageman, RN @hagm04, Apr 7, 2013

I am searching for others who run non profits and or who have started a non profit because of Mayo Clinic Social Media Network. I started a non profit for a rare genetic mutation disease called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia. We are in our 7th year and have grown greatly in the past year. Let’s share our experiences, what works and what doesn’t work. It would be interesting to share ideas with others who have started a non profit or any others that have information that will help us non profits succeed. Linda Hageman, RN

June 25 at 2 pm CT works for me.

Hi Everyone,
What an exciting ZOOM call we had yesterday. Hoping to connect on a regular monthly basis. My email address is Linda.Hageman@AMENSupport.org so feel free to contact me anytime. I am very passionate about Rare Diseases and getting the word out to the public. I also have a FB Grp. called American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support c'mon over and join if you iike. We have a very unique way of handling our FB Grp. The group is monitored by medical individuals to ensure actural, factural and up to date medical information. If something is posted which is inaccurate or old information it is deleted and we send a PM to the individual explaining why the post was deleted, and try to post an updated article with the correct info. Hope to see you all again soon. Linda

You're right @hagm04. It was a great meeting yesterday. It's taking me a bit longer to post the call in the discussion forum here. Tech stuff. But I'll get that up by tomorrow and start the discussion about what questions we should tackle in upcoming calls/discussions. I've joined your FB group and look forward to seeing your good work!

Ditto on all counts! Great discussion and I loved, loved, loved all the enthusiasm! @DanHinmon perhaps those of us attending the October conference could meet informally, off agenda? Just a thought.

Looking forward to seeing how these discussions and community unfolds!

Cheers to all!
