Facebook Groups

I read through previous threads, but thought I'd ask the group about more recent experiences.

I've been tasked with creating a group connected to our FB page. I've been asked to make certain people moderators, but those people do not manage our FB page, nor should they have that type of access.

Is there a way to connect a (private for now) group to a page without handing over the keys to your FB page, or is the only workaround to create a group from a personal page and then let other moderate from there, but with no connection to the hospital page?

With FB's new focus on groups, I'm hoping they've made some updates. Thanks!

Yes, you can absolutely make individuals admins of a group without them being admins of the connected page. There doesn't need to be overlap between admins of the group and the page, with the exception of the person who links the two things together. You should be good to go here!

The admin issue shouldn't be a problem, but be aware that when you have a linked Page & group, some functionality can be glitchy if you are interacting in the group as *your page* versus *yourself*. There will be an option to toggle at the top left-hand side of the group.
