Next Social Media Residency is June 4 in Rochester
The next session of Social Media Residency, Mayo Clinic's one-day crash course in latest best practices and strategy for applying social media in health care, will be Thursday, June 4 in the downtown Marriott, adjacent to our Mayo Clinic facility in Rochester, Minn.
Social Media Residency is your chance to go deeper in exploring social media in health care and what's new and what's next as the platforms evolve. You'll also have a chance to develop or refine your social media strategic plan and get advice and support through 1-1 consultations and small group discussions with peers.
If you're thinking of traveling to Rochester for Social Media Residency on June 4, you may also want to consider Getting Things Done (GTD) training on June 5. As described in this post, GTD training is based on David Allen's New York Times bestseller, Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity. I have been certified by VitalSmarts to offer the training to Mayo Clinic professional and allied health staff, and have gotten special permission also to offer it at the same discounted rate to Premium and Corporate members of the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network.
GTD has made a huge difference for me, and I'm glad to be able to bring it to Mayo Clinic. If you're from outside of Mayo Clinic and add GTD to your Social Media Residency registration, you may find this is something you want to offer in your organization too.
We are working on securing the date for at least one more Social Media Residency course later this year, to be held on Mayo Clinic's Jacksonville, Fla. campus.
As I write this, it's 32 ˚F in Rochester, and while we can't guarantee clear skies in early June, it will definitely be 30-40 degrees warmer. I hope you plan to join us for Social Media Residency.
