New #MCSMN Bronze Fellow: Dr. Katherine Y. Brown

Congratulations to our newest Bronze Fellow, Katherine Brown, Ed.D., Director, Communities of Practice, National Center for Medical Education, Development and Research!

Katherine participated in our Social Media Residency this past December and then crafted a comprehensive social media strategy to engage faculty and staff at Meharry Medical College in the utilization of social media.

See Katherine's Bronze Fellow Submission.

The National Center for Medical Education, Development and Research - Communities of Practice is housed in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. With a goal to transform medical education, Communities of Practice aims to address the needs of those who identify as LGBTQ, homeless persons, and migrant farm worker populations and translate research findings into primary care training and practice guidelines. A key factor in the success of the program is to have a diverse range of people represented within Communities of Practice, including patients, providers, academicians, etc. By improving our social media presence, to include faculty and staff being trained in social media, we will increase our ability to engage our stakeholders.

Please join us in welcoming @drkatherineybrown to the Bronze Fellow circle!

The #MCSMN Social Media Fellows program builds on our Social Media Residency program and provides a structured path and guidance for developing and executing social media plans for health-related purposes. If you haven't yet participated in Social Media Residency, we have one coming up on November 13 in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by our Annual Conference on November 14-15. Register today!
