New #MCSMN Bronze Fellow: Deb Blomberg

MCSMN Badge BronzeCongratulations to Deb Blomberg, Education Specialist in General Internal Medicine, on becoming a Bronze Fellow!

Deb participated in our May 16 Social Media Residency and then crafted a comprehensive social media strategy to increase awareness of the number and breadth of CME courses offered by Mayo Clinic General Internal Medicine (GIM), as well as increase registration for CME courses by 5% from 2016 to 2017.

See Deb's Bronze Fellow Submission.

The program seeks to become an internationally recognized division of academic general internists. Prior to 2015, GIM partnered with the Department of Medicine to host six CME courses in different U.S. locations. In 2015, GIM began using an external planning manager for CME courses. In 2017, GIM, including the Section of Integrative Medicine and Health (IMH), is planning four CME courses outside of Rochester to increase the recognition of academic excellence by GIM and IMH providers.

Deb developed a targeted strategy to attract, engage and increase participants in the CME courses. Using LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, the GIM CME team will share key messages to targeted audiences in efforts to increase participation and awareness of the CME courses.

Please join us in welcoming Deb to the Bronze Fellow circle!

The #MCSMN Social Media Fellows program builds on our Social Media Residency program and provides a structured path and guidance for developing and executing social media plans for health-related purposes.
