Social Media Summit Registration Open

Mayo Clinic’s third annual Social Media Summit, which is produced in conjunction with Ragan Communications, will be held Oct. 17-19, 2011 on Mayo Clinic’s Rochester, Minn. campus. It will feature three tracks:

  • Social media, marketing and PR
  • Mobile healthcare communications
  • Social media for medical professionals

I’m excited about the program we’ve put together. In addition to several of my Mayo Clinic colleagues, speakers will include many members of our Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media Advisory Board (Ed Bennett, Chris Boyer, Christopher Burgess, “e-Patient Dave” de Bronkart, David Harlow, Shel Holtz, Dr. Howard Luks, Dr. Egbe Osifo-Dawodu, Dr. Christian Sinclair and Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson) as well as several other top speakers.

As with most conferences, discounts are offered to encourage early registration. The regular price for conference registration is $1,195, but if you register before Aug. 26 you save $200.

Employees of members of Mayo Clinic’s Social Media Health Network also receive free admission to one of the four pre-conference workshops and are invited to participate in the post-conference Network member meeting/unconference. See the Network tab for a current list of member organizations and more information on how to join.
